Promoting Ethical Journalism for Peacebuilding and conflict prevention in Southern Syria

With the support of the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives and as part of the project “Promoting Ethical Journalism for Peacebuilding and conflict prevention in Southern Syria” Basma organized a dialogue forum on “Professional and Ethical Standards of Media and their Role in the Current Circumstances in the Region” This forum took place on the Zoom platform and featured the participation of managers and decision-makers from several independent media institutions in southern Syria, as well as independent Syrian media figures.

During the forum of two days on November 1-2, the participants discussed the importance and means of independent media organizations adhering to professional and ethical standards and their role in promoting peace, strengthening good neighborly relations, and reducing hate speech.
The forum was overseen and facilitated by Dr. Zaidoun Al-Zoubi.
