Basma’s Agricultural project

As Basma believes in the importance of agriculture we have implemented an agricultural project to the benefit of the people and farmers in the south of Syria where we have launched a project to provide all support needed for farmers to implant their lands, where we provided the technical support by training 16 of the most vulnerable farmers for (one and a half month) on the modern means of agriculture and to provide them with all what they need to apply the new agricultural means that they learned in such as (Organic fertilizer, Insecticides, tillage, watering…etc.) 

After finishing the trainings, the farmers start to implant their lands which it extends to (half hectare) where they implant (tomatoes, 22 23) 

cucumber, eggplant, sweet and spicy pepper and zucchini) where we have Engage our agricultural Specialists to help the farmers in their work to get the excellent results and benefits. 

We have a program and order to distribute what is needed for farmers such as (cost of tilling, dotting water network, organic fertilizers, insecticide, Cost of harvesting… etc.), as we have our Specialists which they do regular visits to lands to know what it needs and to communicate with farmers where our Specialists supervise on tilling 

the land and in how to distribute dotting water network and on how and when should the organic fertilizers be put on lands. 

Where the aim is to take 10% of the harvest and distribute it on the most vulnerable IDPs and after that our staff participates in helping farmers to sell their harvest with suitable prices for consumers in the local markets where the benefits of the sold harvest will go to the farmers to help them in replanting their lands next year.
